CHAPTER 3: Creativity

Creativity is the ability to see the same things as everyone else but think something different.
Creativity involves the translation of our unique gifts and talents into something that is both new and useful.
Creativity is an important element in finding new ways to do old things and ways to do things yet undone.
Components of creativity:
Knowledge – all the relevant understanding an individual bring to bear on a creative effort.

Creative thinking – related to how people approach problem and depends on personality and thinking or work style.

Motivation – generally accepted as a key to creative production, and the most important are intrinsic passion and interest in the work itself.
